Privacy Policy

1. In short
You can use DaamDost without an account. Signing in with Google is optional. If you do not sign in, we do not ask for, and do not store, your name, phone number, email address or other personal details. If you sign in, section 2A explains exactly what we use.
2. What we collect
When you use DaamDost, and when you add a quote to compare, share it or save it as a PDF, we store:
- the details you entered: for flats, the project name, builder, city, tower, floor, unit number, area, rates and charges; for plots, the venture, developer, city, plot number, size, facing, road width, approval and what is on each side; and the calculated totals;
- anonymous technical details: whether you use a phone or a computer, the operating system (for example Android or iOS), the browser name, the screen size, the installed app or the browser, your browser language and time zone, the website that sent you to us, and campaign tags in the link;
- a random ID created in your browser. It lets us stop abuse (for example, too many requests) and is not linked to your identity.
- how the app is used, so we can make it easier: which page you opened, which main buttons you tapped (for example “Start Comparing” or opening the Guide), whether a form field was left empty (only the field’s name, never what you typed), and short error notes if something breaks. These are linked only to the random ID above.
2A. If you sign in with Google (optional)
Google shares your name, email address and Google account ID with DaamDost. We use them only to create and open your “My Flat Quotes (DaamDost)” spreadsheet in your own Google Drive and to show who is signed in.
- We ask only for the
drive.filepermission. It lets DaamDost open the one spreadsheet it creates for you, and nothing else in your Drive. - The spreadsheet belongs to you. You can open, share or delete it at any time.
- In our own records we keep a one-way coded version of your account ID, not your name or email, so we can count signed-in users. Your email is stored only if you tick “Email Me DaamDost Updates”, and only to send those updates.
- Your Google sign-in token lasts at most one hour. It is kept only in the open browser tab (so moving between pages keeps you signed in), is removed when you close the tab or sign out, and is never sent to us.
- To stop, sign out in DaamDost or remove DaamDost at myaccount.google.com/permissions. Your spreadsheet stays in your Drive. To have your email removed from our update list, write to us.
DaamDost’s use of information received from Google APIs follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
3. What we do not collect
Unless you choose to sign in with Google (section 2A): names, contact details, government IDs, precise location, payment information or contacts. Please do not type personal information into any field.
4. Projects you add stay private
Projects and prices you add are saved on your device and a copy is sent to us. We do not show them to other users. We use them only in our own records, for aggregated statistics and to improve DaamDost.
5. Server logs
Our hosting provider, Hostinger, keeps standard server logs that include IP addresses, for security, for as long as Hostinger and Indian law require (up to 180 days). We do not combine these logs with quotation data or use them to identify anyone.
6. On your device
DaamDost keeps your recent quotes, comparisons and settings in your browser’s local storage so the app works offline. This stays on your device; you can clear it at any time from your browser settings. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
7. How we use the data
To run and improve DaamDost, fix errors, prevent abuse, and publish aggregated statistics (for example, average price per sq ft by city).
8. Who processes it
Our records are stored in Google Sheets and handled by Google Apps Script (Google LLC). If you sign in, your own flats and plots are also stored in your own Google Sheet. The website is hosted by Hostinger. Their own privacy policies apply to their services.
9. When you share
Sharing a quote through WhatsApp, Telegram, email or another app sends it through that service under its own privacy policy. A share link contains the quotation itself, so anyone who has the link can see it.
10. How long we keep it
- Project and price data (not personal): while it is useful for the Tool and for statistics.
- Coded account ID of signed-in users: until you ask us to delete it, or after 3 years without sign-in.
- Your email (only if you ticked “Email Me DaamDost Updates”): until you untick it, sign out and ask us, or write to us to unsubscribe.
- Server logs: kept by Hostinger for as long as Hostinger and Indian law require (up to 180 days).
11. Children
DaamDost is meant for adults making property decisions. If you are under 18, please do not sign in with Google or ask us to email you. If we learn that we hold an email address of someone under 18, we will delete it.
12. Your rights
If you signed in or gave us your email, you can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw your consent to update emails at any time (untick the box in your account panel). Write to us (section 14). We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the Data Protection Board of India once it accepts complaints.
If you did not sign in, we hold no data that identifies you, so we usually cannot link records to you. If you believe something you entered identifies you, write to us with the details and we will delete it.
12A. Security and breaches
We keep the data we hold to a minimum, use HTTPS everywhere, and limit who can open our records. If a breach affects personal data we hold, we will tell the people affected and the Data Protection Board of India as the law requires.
13. Applicable law
